I-SERIES, ‘TEARDROP’, ROLL-FORMED:

*OUR STANDARD STYLES INCLUDE:

STRUCTURAL:

Structural Rack is hot-rolled structural steel and is made from heavier channel steel, which provides higher load capacities and better withstands harsh conditions such as fork truck impact. Structural Pallet Racks are made of heavier steel and are bolted together. They are more expensive and take slightly more labor to install; however, they require less maintenance and provide greater longevity.

FAQ:

  • Q: How do I know what Beams and Uprights to order?

  • A: To decide on these measurements, you will first need to:

    • 1. Determine your maximum weight per pallet or per level.

    • 2. Determine if items will be resting directly on the shelf or if you will need Wire Deck.

    • 3. Decide how many levels you ideally want and how high you or your forklift or Scissor Lift can safely reach.

  • Q: What are typical Beam and Upright Sizes?

PALLET_RACHING_SAMPLE.jpg
  • A: All Standard Options:

    • Upright Depths: 18”, 36”, *42”, 48”.

    • Upright Heights: 96”, 120”, 144”, 168”, 192”, 216”, 240”,264”

    • Beam Lengths: 48”, 60”, 72”, 84”, *96”, 108”, 120”, 132”, 144”, 156”

    • Beam Thickness: 2”, 2 1/2”, 3 2/8”, 3 3/4”, 4 1/2”, 5”, 5 5/8”, 6”

  • A: If storing Items on Pallets:

    • Uprights would measure 42” in-depth, and the Upright height depends on your pallet height per level, maximum weight per level, ceiling height, and Forklift capabilities.

    • Beams:

      • 96” in length hold (2X) Pallet Positions per level.

      • 144” in length and hold (3X) Pallet Positions per level.

  • Q: What is ‘Old Style’ (O/S) vs.

    New Style’ (N/S) Pallet Racking?

  • A:

    • ‘Old Style’: Refers to ‘Teardrop’ Style. An Ear-Shape Punch Hole.

    • ‘New Style’: Refers to a slightly different more versatile style of Pallet Racking. This style looks more geometric and square. ‘New Style’ Racking is compatible with all ‘Old Style’ Pallet Racking, aside from the combination of N/S Beams with O/S Uprights.

  • Q: How do I know how thick I need my Beams to measure?

  • A: This depends on the amount of support required to support your material. We can calculate what beam thickness will be required. Feel free to reach out for more information on this!
